The wallets compared
WATS Wallet
WATS Wallet puts Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, BNB Chain and other EVM networks, plus Solana and TON, under one recovery phrase, in a Chrome extension and an iOS and Android app, with an optional NFC Metal Card. You generate and hold your own keys; WATS never holds a key and cannot recover a lost phrase.
On EVM networks every action (transfers, swaps, staking) is charged in ATS instead of native gas. An ERC-4337 paymaster pays the network its gas in the background, and the fee is debited from one ATS balance on BSC whichever EVM network the transaction runs on, so you never bridge ATS. That changes which token pays, not the network cost; it is not a discount. Solana and TON are fully supported; fees on TON are also paid in ATS, while Solana pays its own fee in SOL. Collected ATS is burned, from 100M toward a 30M floor.
The Metal Card is a tap-to-authenticate factor for the mobile app: tap it to your phone to authenticate access or confirm a signature. It holds no private keys, has a unique card ID and pairs to exactly one device. It uses an NTAG 216 chip and is rated IP68. Losing it does not move funds.
Limits: no native Bitcoin, so BTC holders need another wallet; the card is an authentication factor, not cold storage; the wallet uses a recovery phrase; and it is not a trading terminal or an exchange.
MetaMask
Wide dApp support on Ethereum and EVM networks. It added native Solana in May 2025 and native Bitcoin in December 2025, but not TON. Browser extension plus iOS and Android, with third-party hardware such as Ledger and Trezor. Gas-included transactions let you pay the network fee in an eligible token held on that network. Phantom
A fit if Solana is your home chain. It now also covers Ethereum, Base, Polygon, HyperEVM, Robinhood Chain, Arc and native Bitcoin. Its help center lists BNB Chain, Arbitrum and Optimism as unsupported, and it has no TON. Phantom dropped Monad and Sui support in 2026. Chrome, Brave and Edge extension plus iOS and Android; Ledger works as third-party hardware.
Trust Wallet
Native EVM, Solana, TON and Bitcoin support, advertising 100+ blockchains, in a mobile-first wallet with a browser extension. On September 15, 2026 it removed built-in support for 25 networks; assets stay on-chain. Its FlexGas feature pays send fees in USDT or USDC (or TWT on BNB Chain) across five networks, with the gas token held on the address you send from. The extension can connect a hardware wallet, Ledger being the documented one.
Coinbase Wallet
Coinbase's self-custody app, separate from the Coinbase exchange and not requiring a Coinbase account. Called Base app from July 2025, it returned to the Coinbase Wallet name in September 2026. It supports EVM networks natively, plus Solana and Bitcoin on recovery-phrase and email or social-login wallets; Bitcoin has no swaps yet, and TON is not supported. Chrome and Brave extension plus iOS and Android. Its EVM-only passkey smart wallet, Base Account, accepts a hardware security key as its passkey.
OKX Wallet
Native EVM, Solana, TON and Bitcoin support, with 130+ blockchains advertised, as a Chrome extension and a mobile app. It connects to Keystone, Ledger and OneKey hardware. Its Gas Station lets you pay fees in USDC, USDT or USDG, though the current Gas Station page lists Solana only.
Rabby
From the DeBank team: EVM-only, with transaction simulation and a security engine on integrated networks. Solana, TON and Bitcoin are not supported. Its GasAccount is a prepaid USD balance, funded with USDC or USDT, that pays gas on 80+ EVM networks without holding each chain's native token; Rabby holds that balance, not your keys. Chrome, Brave and Edge extension plus iOS and Android; it connects Ledger, Trezor and other hardware.
Ledger
Ledger Wallet (formerly Ledger Live) is the app for Ledger's hardware signers, where keys are generated and stored in a secure element and every transaction is confirmed on the device. It supports Bitcoin, EVM networks, Solana and TON natively, among others. It runs on desktop and mobile with no browser extension, and Ledger devices also sign for MetaMask and Rabby.
