Log in and confirm swaps with a tap of your WATS Card

The WATS Wallet mobile app now lets you open the app and confirm swaps and token sends with a tap of your WATS Card, and adds in-app swaps and a fingerprint login option.

Published

You can now swap tokens inside the WATS Wallet mobile app and use your WATS Card to log in and to confirm swaps and token sends. If you prefer, a fingerprint login option is available too. The changes arrived between April and May 2025.

Log in with a WATS Card tap

The WATS Card (the NFC Metal Card) is the optional tap-to-authenticate second factor; see the NFC Metal Card page. Once a WATS Card is activated, entry with the card is mandatory, so opening the app requires a WATS Card tap.

Swap in the app, confirmed by your card

The swap feature lets you exchange tokens without leaving the app. Swap transactions are more secure because they require a WATS Card tap to confirm, and token sends are protected in the same way.

Fingerprint login

Besides logging in with the WATS Card, you can choose a fingerprint login option.

The WATS Card is a tap-to-authenticate factor only. It never holds private keys, and WATS never holds your keys. Get the app from the download page, and read more about key ownership on the security page.
