The WATS Wallet mobile app now lets you pay network fees in ATS when you send on EVM networks, so you no longer need to hold each network's native coin, such as ETH, BNB or POL, just to send. The changes arrived in versions 2.1.0 to 2.1.6, between 15 and 29 August 2026.
Network fees in ATS
Sends on supported EVM networks, including Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism and Base, can pay their network fee in ATS. A confirmation screen shows exactly how much ATS you will pay before the transaction starts, and a step-by-step progress view and a result screen follow it while it runs. Turning on ATS payments needs a one-time setup on your wallet: the setup is charged, and its amount is shown before you confirm. The home screen shows a network badge and an ATS fuel indicator. See the ATS fee page for how the fee works.
From version 3.0.0, ATS also pays fees on TON and covers swaps, bridges and dApp transactions; see dApp connections and ATS fees on TON.
Safer sends
Recipient address safety stops a send with a warning before funds leave when the address is a lookalike of one you know, the trick behind address poisoning, or when it has been reported in security databases. Address shortcuts let you save the addresses you use often and pick them with one tap.
Reliability fixes
Later 2.1 updates fixed balances that showed as zero or with an empty asset list, added slippage protection and corrected amounts when sending and swapping, and made token search a full page so the keyboard no longer hides results. They also fixed QR code address scanning and made dark mode easier to read.
